Equity Release Supermarket is an award winning independent advisory firm at the forefront of the rapidly expanding equity release market. The company is owned by its founder Mark Gregory, a financial services professional with over 20 years’ experience in equity release and we now have a national network of over 50 advisers – which we are looking to expand.

Established in 2008 and directly authorised since 2012, Equity Release Supermarket has gained an enviable reputation through combining high quality impartial financial advice, streamlined administration processes and digital technology to offer its customers an award-winning service.

The equity release market has experienced rapid growth over the last few years, which is set to continue. While Equity Release Supermarket has benefitted from this, we have also delivered a number of strategic programmes which has seen our development outpace the market, having experienced growth of almost 50% in each of the last two years.

How we do it

Central to our growth is our lead generation programme and our customer enquiries are either generated from our own websites, via our introducer partnerships or from favourable recommendations from our existing customers.

We don’t buy in leads from third parties. As such we are a self-sufficient business where customers approach us and so the leads we provide to our advisers are of a higher quality, thus enhancing the conversion rate of lead to sale.

We have also invested in centralised administration and compliance, embracing technology to deliver a prompt and reliable service to clients. This includes the only case tracking facility in the equity release broker space, where clients can login online to access application updates and documentation. This streamline process has gained the company an enviable 99% customer satisfaction feefo review record from our customers.

We also enjoy an excellent compliance record, which has been verified following audits from Legal & General, KPMG, LV= and Canada Life. In addition, we have invested in external compliance support to ensure that we remain aware of our regulatory obligations & assesses our compliance function on an ongoing basis along with GDPR compliance.

Moreover, we have controlled fixed costs to ensure that we remain profitable in the event of fluctuating markets and are able to expand without significant investment. Sales and financial performance are reviewed monthly and we now have our strategic team in place to formally review progress and drive future growth across key areas such as compliance, administration, sales/marketing and IT.

We have now built our team of dedicated admin/case handlers at our Head Office in Cheshire, who ensure that advisers are supported, and cases processed as quickly as possible to completion. This helps provide both satisfaction for the consumer, who receive their funds promptly, and the adviser in terms of faster remuneration.

We have an excellent back office CRM system which is provided to assist you manage your cases & leads & enables you to run your own ‘business within a business’. Our focus is to provide an efficient platform that enables you to concentrate on what you do best…writing business.

Equity Release Supermarket are selective over recruitment and we ensure anyone joining the company is provided with a minimum lead volume, guaranteeing success by ‘hitting the ground running.’ We purposely manage our lead volumes and our focus is quality first, which ensures that our advisers are working efficiently and have a greater earnings capacity than our rivals. Our moto ‘less is more’ is our proven forte.

The recruitment process is complemented by our in-house Training Academy and dedicated Compliance function to ensure that you receive all the advice, support & training you need to build your own successful business.

Currently, we have a team of over 50 selectively chosen advisers who are spread around the UK and work efficiently and effectively with the tools & services we provide. Due to lead volumes we are now generating, we need more quality advisers to service these enquiries.

What we’re looking for

Due to continued growth, Equity Release Supermarket are now looking to expand our existing complement of equity release advisers with new positions around the UK. Roles particularly in the South East, South West, London and Home Counties plus Scotland will be given priority.

Applications would be considered for experienced equity release advisers, but also consideration given to advisers currently not specialising in equity release, but who have an excellent track record in financial services.

Enquiries are welcome on both self-employed and employed basis, covering both field based & tele-adviser positions to the right candidates.

Employed roles would be in conjunction with our expanding tele-advice operation and also where appropriate, to field-based advisers. Employed advisers receive a generous basic salary, plus a simple monthly and annual bonus structure.

Self-employed roles should attract anyone looking for uncapped earnings potential in a rapidly expanding marketplace where Equity Release Supermarket is perfectly aligned to grow its market share.

We have no additional targets for auxiliary products, we focus purely on later life lending products.

Excellent lead generation is provided via our innovative websites, Equity Release Partners proposition, direct consumer enquiries and more innovative lead generation methods. However, an element of self-generated business is to be expected to supplement leads provided by the company.

Full administration and IT support will be provided, and our centralised administration team based in Cheshire manage your cases through to completion, allowing advisers to do what they do best – advise.

Our bespoke CRM system is provided which helps you to manage your own leads in accordance with TCF guidelines and you have the full support of a dedicated Compliance Manager. Effectively, you can run your own business within an already established business, providing full marketing support and back up one of the industries respected brands.

Approached with the right attitude and self-motivation, the position is highly rewarding with realistic targets and uncapped earnings.

The ideal candidate will have gained Certificate in Financial Planning plus CeMAP, and either having, or a view to immediately obtaining the relevant Equity Release Qualification.

Under exceptional circumstances candidates can be placed under our Trainee Academy Programme, where we will train an adviser from the ground up, taking them through their examinations in conjunction with an on-site bespoke training programme.

We are therefore looking for applications from successful financial services personnel with a proven track record, who can demonstrate a passion for equity release, drive for sales and willingness to learn from some of the industry's top equity release specialists.
