Hello I’m Derek,
I have been involved in the equity release industry since 2000 when I worked for a home reversion provider as part of the Britannic group.
Whilst also working in the residential mortgage market with Santander and Halifax in the past I have focused on advising in the retirement lending industry and having helped clients on behalf of Saga and Age UK as well as Key Retirement Solutions where I left as the top adviser nationally to join Mark and his team at the award winning Equity Release Supermarket.
I am a fully diploma qualified financial adviser and former SOLLA (Society of Later Life Advisers) member. I choose to specialise my advice in Equity Release as I am strongly passionate about the products and the positive difference these can make to people’s lives when appropriate, and I am fortunate that my role allows me to see this on a daily basis.
With so many choices and options at a critical time in someone’s life, quality advice and service have never been more important. This is where myself, with my experience and specialist access to the whole of the market for lifetime mortgages, retirement mortgages and home reversion schemes, with the support of the rest of the Equity Release Supermarket team can assist.
