For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998 (Act), Equity Release Supermarket Limited (‘we’ or ‘us’) is the ‘data controller’ (i.e. the company who is responsible for, and controls the processing of, your personal data).
1 Information we may collect about you1.1 We will obtain personal data about you (such as your name, address, telephone number, E-mail address, age, property value, outstanding mortgage and other financial details) whenever you complete an online form.
1.2 For example, we will obtain your personal data when you use our “Quick Calculator” and when you register to use the Site or contact us. We may also obtain sensitive personal data about you if you volunteer it during the completion of the online form. If you volunteer such information, you will be consenting to our processing it for the purpose of providing an estimate of the equity available in your property, to permit one of our representatives to contact you, to arrange an appointment, to allow us to provide a quote for you and add your details to our database for future marketing purposes by Equity Release Supermarket.
1.4 Occasionally we may receive information about you from other sources (such as credit reference agencies or from electronic ID verification), which we will add to the information we already hold about you in order to help us personalise our service and the products we offer you.

7 Access to information7.1 The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
